My Approach
At KV Counselling, I work with adults, children and young people with an integrative therapeutic approach. What this means is that I offer a blend of person centred, psychodynamic or more creative ways to support each individual to explore themselves. My sessions are client led allowing you to fully explore at your own pace.
Initial contact/sessions
I offer a free initial 20 minute telephone consultation to discuss if the support is right for you. If we are happy to work together I will invite you to attend your first session.
Sessions are then usually weekly for 50 minutes but flexibility between sessions can be discussed. During your first session we will discuss and agree our therapeutic contract and your expectations of counselling sessions. I will undertake an assessment to gain information about your history and to help me understand your reasons for starting counselling.
Adults
I offer long or short term counselling giving you a confidential space to talk freely as I listen and understand your world. You can choose to have your support over Zoom or on the telephone or in person in premises in Faversham, Kent.
Children and young people
We can work together to talk in person or to explore in a more creative way in the art room based in Faversham, Kent. Online sessions are available if assessed suitable and with parental consent.
I am a trained Bereavement Support Worker for a Kent based charity and specialise in bereavement with experience of supporting 6-18 year olds. I can offer one-to-one or small group bereavement therapy sessions in premises in Faversham.
Fees
My 50 minute standard therapy session fee is £55, but concessions are available. Please contact me to discuss your requirements.
